In the near future, "Running Man" becomes the most watched show on television – a deadly competition in which contestants must survive for 30 days while being hunted by professional killers. Their every move is broadcast on camera to a bloodthirsty audience, and each day they survive increases the prize. Ben Richards, a working-class man who can't afford medical treatment for his sick daughter, is encouraged by a persuasive yet ruthless producer to participate in the killer show. The new contestant's rebellious nature, instincts, and determination make him an unexpected fan favorite – and a threat to the entire show.
