A biographical story about priest Jan Ziea, who was a co-founder of the Workers' Defense Committee. The film's director, Robert Gliński ("Hi Tereska"), takes us back to the 1970s. Major SB, in this role Zbigniew Zamachowski, intends to convince Father Zieja (Andrzej Seweryn) to cooperate. He wants to use the clergyman to discredit the opposition. The interrogations of the priest become a natural pretext for a journey through the history of Poland in the twentieth century - from the Bolshevik War of 1920, through the Second World War, up to the present day.
