The silence in the title has nothing idyllic about it, although the action of the film takes place during the summer holidays, on an Italian island, where Anna (Agnieszka Żulewska) and Adam (Dobromir Dymecki) rent a house with a view. As you know, the view is beautiful from a distance, so the married couple prefers to keep their distance (fantastically captured in the photos of Bartosz Świniarski, the operator of Christos Nikou's "Oblivion"). A full fridge, full wallets, an alarm-secured door and equally tightly closed eyes keep them safe from contact with reality - until they discover that the property's swimming pool is not working. However, a fault that they demand immediate repair will dangerously unseal their comfort zone, creating a leak that will break into chaos, fear and death into the comfortable, automated life of the couple. And the blissful silence turns out to be a mere conspiracy of silence.
