Originally released in May 2003, Daft Punk & Leiji Matsumoto's Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem was written by Thomas Bangalter, Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Cédric Hervet, directed by Kazuhisa Takenouchi and supervised by the legendary Leiji Matsumoto. Interstella 5555 tells the story of an alien band being abducted by an evil human figure with dark agendas. The hour-long film was cut into music videos to accompany Daft Punk's Discovery album and is rarely seen in its original form in theaters. The film will be followed immediately by a curated selection of iconic Daft Punk music videos from directors including Spike Jonze, Michel Gondry, Seb Janiak, Roman Coppola and Warren Fu.
