Batman embarks on a massive war on crime. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, he sets out to dismantle the remaining criminal organizations plaguing the city's citizens. The collaboration proves fruitful, but the heroes soon fall victim to the chaos unleashed by a rising criminal mastermind known to Gotham's terrified citizens as the Joker.
