The action of the film takes place just after the end of World War II in Venice on All Saints' Eve. Hercule Poirot, voluntarily retiring in the greatest city in the world, attends a spiritualist séance held in a palace falling into ruin. When one of the participants in the meeting is murdered, the detective will be forced to solve the mystery of his death, delving into the world of shadows and secrets of the haunted mansion.
