Director Hannah (Olivia Colman) travels with her husband Harry (Daniel Henshall) and teenage child Frances (Aud Mason-Hyde) from Australia to Amsterdam to visit her father, the eccentric and unpredictable Jimpa (John Lithgow). When Frances announces that she wants to stay with her grandfather instead of returning home, Hannah must confront a difficult family past, full of unspoken regrets and decisions whose painful consequences are still felt. "Call Me Jimpa" is a bittersweet portrait of a family where closeness can be more difficult than conflict, and love requires the courage to let others live their own lives.
