Lilly is a bright, nature-loving 11-year-old girl living in Australia. Thanks to her father's passion, she becomes fascinated by the amazing lives of the local kangaroos. One day, she meets Chris, a TV weatherman who's been through the worst of his life. He finds a kangaroo in need of help on the road, and together with Lilly, they decide to rescue the animal. Together, they begin working to rescue and rehabilitate orphaned kangaroo calves in a remote corner of Australia. This endeavor will change both their lives more than they could have imagined.
