Young and rebellious Vera decides to organize a concert by jazz pianist Keith Jarrett. She stakes everything on one card to fulfill her dreams in the male-dominated world of jazz. Against the will of her conservative parents, in spite of the mounting problems, she rents the opera. Her plan seems doomed to failure at first, but it brilliantly achieves its goal. Behind the scenes of the legendary concert is a vibrant story of youthful determination and the power of dreams. The film is inspired by the story of Vera Brandes, an eighteen-year-old who organized the most popular jazz concert in history. Keith Jarrett's piano improvisation from this concert was recorded on the album "The Köln Concert" and became the best-selling solo album in the history of jazz and the best-selling solo piano recording of all time.
