Jurek (Marcin Dorociński's moving performance) and his father-in-law Ben (Daxing Zhang) confront the loss of a loved one and decide to perform the Chinese minghun ritual, the so-called marriage after death. The characters set off on an emotional journey, the goal of which is to find the perfect partner for eternity. The clash of different cultures is to help make both the film characters and the viewer aware that regardless of their origin, we all belong to one human family. "Minghun" is a story about hope, love and the search for the meaning of life and what comes after it. The film, directed by Jan P. Matuszyński ("The Last Family", the series "Król") and written by Grzegorz Łoszewski ("Komornik"), ironically confronts us with loss, our own beliefs and spirituality. This is a moving, sensitive and personal film that tells about the most important values ​​in human life, giving the viewer what is most needed in our times - hope.
