A film depicting propaganda and everyday life in Russia. Pasha, a teacher in a small town in the Urals, works at his former school and chronicles the lives of its students. His office is a haven for punks, rebels, and all those who yearn for freedom. After the full-scale invasion of Ukraine and the introduction of patriotic policies, schools are militarized. Pasha documents the military drill, declarations of loyalty, and growing fear. The teenagers' reactions are most telling – furtive, fearful glances, and the moment of farewell to friends conscripted into the army. As the school year draws to a close, Pasha knows that Karabash is no longer his home…
