Shrouded in gloomy legend, a demonic being named Abyzou was blamed in Jewish tradition for causing miscarriages and infant deaths. She was driven by envy, apparently, because she could not become a mother herself. The evil power from centuries ago is unwittingly released by the main character of the film - Art, when he tries to persuade his father, an Orthodox Jew, to sell the funeral home. A mysterious body finds its way to the family morgue, inhabited by an ancient demon. Awakened, he focuses his attention on Art's pregnant wife.
