The feature debut of the Norwegian director Kristoffer Borgli turned out to be one of the greatest revelations of the last Cannes Film Festival. This hilarious tragicomedy is a painfully true story about how far we are willing to go to be noticed. A story particularly relevant in the era of the expansion of social media. At first glance, Signe (played by the rising star of Scandinavian cinema Kristine Kujath Thorp, known to the Polish audience from the movie "Ninjababy") and Thomas seem to be a perfect couple. Young, intelligent, with broad horizons and original taste. Appearances, however, are deceiving, because their relationship, instead of mutual support, is largely based on unhealthy competition, and the only question is which of them has the bigger ego. When a man who is an aspiring artist finds unexpected success, the balance of the relationship is shaken. Signe can't get over the fact that the spotlight is now focused solely on her partner. Desperate, she deliberately abuses dangerous pharmaceuticals, which immediately affects not only her health, but also her appearance. But what is a little suffering compared to the compassion and attention that can once again be fully focused on itself?
