"Śubuk" is the latest work of the producers of "Carte Blanche", "The Last Family" and the Oscar-nominated hit "Corpus Christi", which was seen in cinemas by a total of almost 1.6 million viewers. Inspired by real events, the story of a young mother of an autistic boy, whose long-term stubbornness and fight against bureaucracy and human heartlessness led to significant changes in the Polish education system. "Śubuk" is a story that goes straight to the heart, filled with emotions, optimism and tender humor, a story about female strength, joy of life, a different perception of the world and the hidden potential that lies dormant in each of us. For the first time in her career, Małgorzata Gorol, the acting discovery of recent years, is starring in the lead role, known, among others, from from the films "Face" by Małgorzata Szumowska and "Magnezja" by Maciek Bochniak. She is supported by Andrzej Seweryn, awarded all over the world for his role in the film "The Last Family", multiple times winner of the Polish Film Award Orzeł - Aleksandra Konieczna ("The Last Family", "Corpus Christi"), the discovery of the famous HBO series "Blind from the Lights" - Marta Malikowska, the star of the series "Chyłka" - Filip Pławiak, and also appearing on the screen for the first time - Wojtek Krupiński and Wojciech Dolatowski. The director of "Śubuk" is Jacek Lusiński, the creator of the moving picture "Carte Blanche". Together with Szymon Augustyniak, he is also the author of the screenplay that won the prestigious Script Pro competition in 2019, and received an award in this category at the 47th Polish Film Festival.
