Kris (Hannah Einbinder), a talented young director, lands the opportunity of a lifetime from a film studio: to direct a remake of the cult horror franchise *Camp Miasma*, which enjoyed massive popularity in the 1980s and 90s. Seeking inspiration, she meets with Billy (Gillian Anderson), the star of the original films. The visit to the eccentric actress quickly evolves into something more than just an ordinary interview.
