The opening ceremony of the Tempest Monster Federation has concluded. Rimuru and his companions receive an invitation to a private island from Elmesia, the heavenly empress of the great elven nation of Salion Magic Dynasty. However, the heroes' respite is short-lived. Soon, the mysterious Yura appears. The vast Azure Sea will serve as the backdrop for new, disturbing events… Based on Fuse's light novel series, the film will be directed by Yasuhito Kikuchi in collaboration with eightbit studio. Kikuchi also co-wrote the script with Toshizō Nemoto based on Fuse's idea. Ryōma Ebata (an animator who previously worked on Stars Align) will be responsible for the character designs, and Hitoshi Fujima will compose the soundtrack.
