A very good first quarter of 2023 in cinema!

In the first three months of this year, Polish cinemas were visited by more than 13 million viewers. This is 40% more than in the same period last year(!). During this period, 82 films debuted on the big screen, including 18 Polish productions.

In January and February, family films proved to be unrivaled, such as: "Puss in Boots: The Last Wish" and "Asterix and Obelix: Empire of the Dragon." And in March, the most-watched film was the fourth installment of the neo-noir saga starring Keanu Reeves, or "John Wick 4."

"Puss in Boots: The Last Wish" was the first megahit of the year. From the first weekend of January until now, the film has already been seen by more than 2 million viewers.

James Cameron's latest work, "Avatar: The Being of Water," also stood out from all the titles in the first quarter. Despite the fact that the premiere of this film took place back in December last year, it was seen in theaters by more than 1.6 million viewers this year.

In March, the podium among the most watched films was occupied by a funny animation for the youngest, titled "The Tooth Fairy. "The Tooth Fairy" and the Polish high-budget production titled "Filip", which was awarded at the Gdynia Film Festival. We continued to enjoy watching family films. This set was joined by the warm and funny French production "The Luck of Nicolas." Superhero fans were not disappointed either, who saw "Shazam! Wrath of the Gods" and "Creed III."
