According to BoxOffice and New Age Media estimates, some 2.7 million tickets were sold in Polish cinemas in May. Superheroes rule again on the podium. In addition, they are heroes for different groups of viewers - fantasy fans, adventure comedies and action movies.

The number one movie in May was "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness". The latest Marvel's hit gathered over 900 thousand viewers in front of the big screen. The production can also boast high opening weekend result - over 340 thousand sold tickets.

The second place was taken by the awaited "Top Gun: Maverick". After 36 years from the premiere of the first part - "Top Gun", in which Tom Cruise played a young pilot, in the continuation of this undisputed hit the creators skillfully show the main character in a new role - an aviation instructor and a leader of the next generation of talented pilots. The film premiered on the last Friday of the month and only during the first three days of screening gathered more than 250 thousand viewers.

In third place was the second part of the adventures of the heroic hedgehog, Sonic. "Sonic 2: Quick as Lightning" according to our estimates in May reached a result of over 300 thousand viewers. The film has been seen by nearly 800 thousand people since its premiere in April.

The TOP 10 also includes animations for kids - "Mr. Wolf and Co." and "Animal Games". Last month, Polish productions such as "Bruno Detective" or "Fucking Bornholm" were also watched with pleasure.
