January in Polish cinemas - a very good start
The good run of 2024 continues! In January, Polish cinemas were visited by 5.5 million viewers. This result is close to that of January 2019 and is a very good “harbinger” for the coming months.
Audience attention in January was stolen mostly by family productions. Starting with Sonic 3: Fast as Lightning, which recorded a score of half a million viewers after just the first few days of screening. At the end of the month, viewing figures shot even higher, making the animation the first film this year with one million viewers to its credit.
In second place was the Polish title Kleks and Invention by Filip Golarz. The continuation of the adventures of Ada Niezgódka and the new adepts of the Academy also gathered a million viewers in front of cinema screens.
In third place - the December premiere of Mufasa: The Lion King. This high-budget production also reached the one million viewers mark, with half of it in 2025.
Very good and noteworthy results were achieved by our two domestic productions. Next Ride! is an enjoyable comedy in which Józiek and Elizabeth embark on a journey to make their dreams come true. It has already been seen by nearly 500,000 viewers. Also stirring again on the big screen were the youth from III B and their charismatic educator. Fucking Mickiewicz 2 almost doubled the score of the first part from 2024. Loyal cinema and streaming fans did not disappoint 😊
TOP movies in January

In cinemas
The next few weeks at the cinema promise to be exciting. What awaits us? The great return of Bridget Jones, 13-time Oscar nominee Emilia Pérez and a new superproduction from Marvel's comic book universe - Captain America. Polish films are also looking archly interesting! The end of February will see the premiere of 100 DAYS TO MATURDAY, a grand-scale production under the EKIPY banner. And on Women's Day the film Beautiful! will enter theaters, showing the stories of six exceptional heroines, each of whom in her own way struggles for happiness and fulfillment.

See at the movies!
