From the beginning of the year to the end of May, Polish cinemas were visited by nearly 20 million viewers. This is 7% more than in the same period last year, which gives a good forecast for the summer months, especially as there are hot premieres ahead.

The podium, from the end of the first quarter, is dominated by the Polish superproduction -Akademia Pana Kleksa, which was watched by almost 3 million viewers. This excellent result and the great success of the film determined the creation of the next parts. We know from verified sources that we will see the new adventures of the Academy students on the big screen as early as January 2025.

Second place is invariably taken by Dune: Part Two. A huge hit all over the world. In Poland, over 1.7 million viewers went to see it.

Third place belongs to the animation Wyfrunięci, which reached a ceiling of over one million viewers on the Polish market. This is a very good result for this type of film format.

The recent long weekend showed that cinema is the perfect place to celebrate Children's Day.

The Cinema City chain, together with partners operated by New Age Media, provided young viewers with plenty of attractions and surprises. Children who visited Cinema City cinemas between 31 May and 2 June received sweet gifts such as Hortex juices, BoboVita crackers, Haribo drops and maomams, as well as Ziaja cosmetics. In addition, special photo frames with a cinema theme and plaques with quotations from the most popular fairy tales were placed in 25 Cinema City cinemas across Poland. Those viewers who, between 31 May and 9 June, take a photo in them and place it under the competition post on the Facebook page of Cinema City Poland, will have a chance to win sets of Ziaja cosmetics, as well as Mattel toys.
