First Quarter 2026
Audiences love what is familiar and proven. New installments of Avatar, Zootropolis, Piep*yć Mickiewicza, Too Big for Fairy Tales, and Dalej Jazda are films with very strong attendance results in the first quarter. However, last year's premieres Avatar and Zootropolis still hold the top positions, and the best opening result of the first quarter still belongs to the 3rd installment of the most famous high school students from Piep*yć Mickiewicza 3, with almost 300 thousand tickets sold.
March at the Cinema: New Stories Are Doing Well
The list of most-watched films in March is diverse in terms of genres. Alongside major titles and Polish productions, thrillers, horror films, and films with religious themes dominate.
New adventures of Waldek from Za duży na bajki 3 received great interest in March, placing this film in first place on the list of most-watched films. Other Polish films that made a splash on the TOP 10 list of the previous month are Król Dopalaczy and "Piep*yć Mickiewicza 3."
In March, Disney's animated film "Hoppers" achieved strong opening results. This completely new story about relationships between forest animals also ranked high on the TOP 10 list of the first quarter.
"Project Hail Mary" is one of the most profitable films of this year and one of the biggest box office hits for Amazon MGM Studios. Revenue from ticket sales proves how much streamers need theatrical releases and cinema projections. The introduction of this title to the market confirms the validity of film distribution strategy: first cinema with intensive promotion, box office results, and only then availability on a streaming service.
