A Fantastic July at the Cinema!
Over the past seven months, 29 million people have visited cinemas in Poland. That is more than in the comparable period last year. Cinemas recorded their highest attendance in the first month of the summer holidays. Yes, July has been the best month of the year so far in terms of ticket sales.
TOP 10 January–July 2026
In July, three new titles joined the ranking of the most-watched films of 2026, which we present below. The list now includes as many as five films that have attracted audiences of over one million.

July Records the Highest Cinema Attendance of the Year
The past month proved to be an exceptionally exciting one for cinema audiences. We estimate that 5.8 million tickets were sold in July. The biggest draws were the latest adventures of the Minions, Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey”, and the newest “Spider-Man” film.
The Minions returned to the big screen and took cinemas around the world by storm. The lovable yellow characters continue to attract huge numbers of fans. The animated film delivered a strong opening, drawing more than 500,000 viewers. It is currently the most-watched film of 2026 in Poland.
Christopher Nolan did not disappoint his fans. “The Odyssey” has already passed the one-million-viewer mark in Poland, confirming the enormous level of interest in the film. In July alone, it was seen by more than 970,000 people, while over 270,000 tickets were sold during its opening weekend. The epic production has proved particularly popular with audiences choosing screenings at BNP Paribas IMAX cinemas. Anyone who has tried to get a ticket for a screening in this format knows just how quickly the best seats are snapped up.
“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” premiered on the final Friday of July and delivered strong ticket sales from its very first days in cinemas. More than 700,000 people saw the film during preview screenings and its opening weekend. This makes it one of the strongest openings of the year.

August at the Cinema
First, the good news: all of the titles mentioned above can still be seen in cinemas in August as well — although we know very well just how difficult it can be to get a ticket for a screening at a BNP Paribas IMAX cinema 😊.
And that is not the end of the good news, as a number of exciting new releases are also coming to cinemas this month. Younger audiences can look forward to “PAW Patrol and Dinosaurs”, “The Book of the Desert”, and another instalment in the Pucio series. For older audiences, we recommend titles such as “The End of Oak Street”, “The Dog Stars”, and the next chapter in the “Insidious” saga.
See you at the cinema!
