New Age Media Expands Its Portfolio: A New Cinema City Multiplex Opens in Iași, at Mall Moldova

New Age Media, the media agency of the Cinema City network, announces the opening of its 29th cinema, marking the inauguration of the new Cinema City multiplex at Mall Moldova in Iași. With 9 screening rooms and a capacity of approximately 1,500 seats — including a 4DX auditorium — this new entertainment venue is the largest cinema in the region.

The opening marks a symbolic moment: it is the second Cinema City cinema in Iași, launched 18 years after the network’s first cinema in Romania, which also opened in Iași, in 2007.

With this new multiplex, New Age Media now offers a total of 264 screens available for on-screen and off-screen advertising campaigns across 21 cities in Romania, further strengthening its position as a leader in cinema advertising.

“When the first Cinema City opened in Romania, we had just 5 screens in our portfolio, and ads were projected from film reels — with significant time and production costs. Eighteen years later, cinema has proven to be one of the most captivating and effective communication platforms for brands. By expanding our portfolio, we provide advertisers with premium opportunities to connect with audiences in the most modern and spectacular viewing conditions,” said Raluca Demetriade, Sales Director of New Age Media.

The new multiplex in Iași brings several firsts: the first multifunctional hall with over 400 seats, a giant screen, and a stage suitable for live events; the first gaming zone; and the first Cinema City location offering artisanal pizza and draft beer. This unique mix opens up new opportunities for brands to engage with audiences — from creative activations to partnerships and integrated campaigns, both on-screen and off-screen.
