In July, Polish cinemas were visited by more than 3 million viewers, almost one million more than in June. This attendance result represents almost 70% of the number of viewers from the corresponding period of 2019.
Last month we could see as many as 42 new films on the big screen.
The best weekend was July 9-11.
That's thanks to the release of the first Marvel blockbuster of the year, titled "Black Widow. "Black Widow" starring Scarlett Johansson, which took the first place in the TOP 10 list and became the best opening weekend of the month.
July is invariably an ideal time for family productions. This year was no different. As many as five films appeared in the best films list and most of them were produced by Disney. At this point, it is worth recalling two holiday hits from 2019, which achieved very good results - The Lion King (1.6 million) and The Secret Life of Pets 2 (0.8 million viewers).
AUGUST - what awaits us?
August promises to be equally interesting in terms of repertoire. The premieres of Hollywood productions await us, such as: "Legion of Suicides. The Suicide Squad" and "Free Guy". Also interesting and long-awaited films of Polish production will hit the big screen.
The most important local premieres:
"The Black Sheep" - a warm comedy-drama about family problems,
"The End" - controversial comedy which exposes the mechanisms ruling the world of show business,
"Master" - the story of the legendary fighter Tadeusz "Teddy" Pietrzykowski,
"Soup Nothing" - the new film by Kinga Debska, a comedy set in the communist era.
The August repertoire will also include interesting proposals for the youngest, such as: "Lassie, come back!" - an adventure film about the world's most famous dog, Collie, and "Wyrolowani" - an unusual adventure of animals belonging to the charming species of Flumacs, admired by Charles Darwin himself.
