"Godzilla vs. Kong" box office record: after cinematic successes in China and Japan, it was time for the American market.

"Godzilla vs. Kong" has broken all records of pandemic times... and this despite the fact that the show can also be watched without leaving home. The production already has nearly $300 million in its account from ticket sales. Since the beginning of the pandemic, no other Hollywood film has earned so much in such a short time.

The box-office performance estimates clearly show that Americans - like Far Easterners - have longed for movie theaters and are eager to go to them to watch a movie, experiencing the highest quality of picture and sound, and to feel that famous "movie magic" with all their senses.

"Godzilla vs. Kong" got off to a great start. It earned $32.2 million in the weekend alone. This is an absolute opening record in pandemic times, worthy of the titans. And overall the best debut since March 6 of last year, when "Forward" raked in $39.1 million.

What's more, this is the first release since the beginning of the pandemic whose results can be compared to the openings before the scourge of COVID-19. Indeed, the receipts of the show "Godzilla vs. Kong" are not much worse than what "Godzilla II: King of the Monsters" achieved. After all, its result after five days of screening in 2019 was $ 57.2 million.

Cineworld CEO on cinema reopening: spring has arrived and with it... good news! Mooky Greidinger, CEO of Cineworld announced that the chain's cinemas in the US will open in phases starting in April, followed by the UK in May and Central Europe shortly afterwards. Although today the situation in our country is not yet as good as it is in those countries, we feel that everything is going in the right direction and the opening of our Cinema City cinemas is getting closer.
